“In a world where so much emphasis is put on training students for a predictable and safe career, it is easy to forget that some are destined to follow their dreams in the performing arts. The Active Voice is an annual concert in support of scholarships specifically dedicated to music and drama. The creative arts are vital to any healthy community and to any serious university,” says English and Drama Professor, Todd Pettigrew, who conceived and organized the show. “With attention and funding divided so many ways today, it’s not enough to just believe in the arts. We have to stand up for them. And that’s what this show is all about.”
