Cape Breton University recently signed two articulation agreements with Canadore College.
As Canadore College notes in a recent news article, the first of the five-year agreements allows Canadore Environmental Protection and Compliance graduates to receive advanced standing and enter into the third year of CBU’s four-year Bachelor of Health Science (Public Health) degree program.
The second agreement expedites degree pathways for graduates from the college’s two-year business and accounting diplomas as well as one-year business management, financial services and supply chain management programs into the university’s four-year Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
“It’s extremely important for our students to have educational mobility,” said Jeannette Miron, Canadore College Registrar and Manager of Institutional Research.
The transfer agreements between CBU and Canadore also support graduates from CBU’s Public Health program wishing to enter into Canadore’s Environmental Diploma program. Successful students from either institution can complete a second credential in two years.
Likewise, Canadore’s business diploma holders can finish their degree in two years and graduates from business certificate courses can finish in three years.
“Students transferring from Canadore can expect a warm welcome, excellent faculty support and the chance to be part of a diverse and dynamic campus community,” says CBU Vice-President Academic & Provost and Acting President, Dr. Dale Keefe. “CBU is one of the most multicultural universities in Canada.”
Students and graduates can begin applying now for admission at either CBU or Canadore in September 2017.
