CBU is starting the holiday season on a heartfelt note by holding the second annual #CBUHolidayWishes campaign, a two-part project aimed at spreading good cheer and helping those in need.
Students are encouraged to visit the CBU Winter Wonderland in the cafeteria where they can write a message of peace and goodwill on a gift tag. The gift tags will be strung from trees displayed in the hub, to be passed out to onlookers during the Cape Breton Regional Municipality’s Holiday Parade, December 2, to spread positivity and cheer this holiday season.
The #CBUHolidayWishes campaign also aims to drive donations to local food banks. After messages are written on the provided gift tags, CBU community members are asked to share their message on social media using the tag #CBUHolidayWishes. For every post using the hashtag, CBU will make a donation to a local food bank, up to $500.
If you would like to send a warm message for the holidays and support our local food banks, visit the Winter Wonderland hub in the cafeteria before December 2 or share your message via social media using #CBUHolidayWishes.
