This FREE professional development opportunity is for language teachers, whatever your language and wherever you teach.
Three experts will be sharing the latest teaching and learning methods being used in their language communities:
- Mary Ellen Googoo (Mi’kmaw Language Nests)
- Laurie MacIntosh (Neurolinguistic Literacy Approach in French)
- Lewis MacKinnon (Gàidhlig aig Baile / Gaelic in the Home)
- Dr. Heather Sparling, a fluent learner of both French and Gaelic (with the Mi’kmaw language on her list of languages to learn!), will facilitate the workshop and will start the day with a session on best practices for teaching language(s).
This workshop is designed to raise awareness about current teaching methods being used in diverse language communities, and to create a networking opportunity among language teachers. This will be a great opportunity to meet fellow language teachers and to learn from each other!
Light refreshments will be served. Please bring a lunch.
Pre-registration is requested. To register or to request more information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
