GLOBAL ZERO TOLERANCE: The New Peace Movement and the Fight for a Post-War World

Join Dr. Sean Howard in the Student Lounge at the CBU Library on Thursday, March 29th at 11:30am for a provocative presentation and discussion. Dr. Howard will make the case for a post-war world. This is the next event in the series: The Compassionate Community or Living as if We give a Damn

While it may seem that the main goal of the United Nations, to “save succeeding generations from the scourge of war,” is further away than ever, a dynamic new peace movement is working to make the dream a reality. While its priority is nuclear disarmament, or ‘Global Zero,’ its vision is a world where war itself is no longer tolerated: is regarded as illegitimate as slavery and torture. In this session, Dr. Sean Howard makes the moral and practical case for a post-War world as essential for the health of the planet.
