Early Integration of Palliative Care in Cancer Care: A Case for Improved Patient Outcomes

Join Dr. Taylor as she outlines how incorporating a palliative care clinic in an oncology care center supports themes of early integration and leads to improved patient outcomes; and the leadership roles Nurse Practitioners assume in supporting early integration.

Claudette is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Cape Breton University  and a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner. She is currently on secondment with Dalhousie University teaching in the Master of Nursing Program, Nurse Practitioner stream. Claudette obtained her PhD from the University of Alberta and her dissertation focused on Sleep-Wake Disturbances in Advanced Lung Cancer Patients.
