Join us for a FREE 2-day Art-Science Event, starting with the Art Gallery Exhibition Opening on Friday, November 17th, and a full day conference on Saturday, November 18th!
Explore creative inter-disciplinary connections between the arts and sciences by focusing on the visual arts as they are used and expressed in the STEM fields, creating “STEAM” (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics).
Learn how the Mi’kmaw principle of Two-Eyed Seeing can be implemented, integrated and communicated through contemporary artistic practice. We will use this guiding principle to address how Indigenous art intersects with science by connecting contributors of aboriginal identity and heritage with artists, researchers, educators and the public to address new ways of learning through cross-cultural exchange.
The Avatars of Human Creativity ArtSci and STEAM events are FREE and open to the public, but the Saturday conference requires registration. Please join us!
All Avatar of Human Creativity events are FREE and open to the public, but require registration. Join us for any (or all!) of these 3 opportunities:
