The Joe MacMullen Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • be registered in a full course load (30 credits) in the second- or third-year of the Bachelor of Business Administration degree program.
  • be a permanent resident of Cape Breton.
  • have a minimum 75% average in 2021-2022.
  • not be in receipt of another CBU scholarship.

To apply, applicants must:

  • complete pages 2 and 3 of Joe MacMullen Memorial Scholarship application.
  • demonstrate involvement in their community and/or other worthy non-academic activities. Please provide a 1-page letter outlining such involvement.
  • demonstrate financial need through a disclosure of their 2021 CRA Notice of Assessment. Students under the age of 22 must include a copy of their parents’/guardians’ Notice of Assessment as well.

This award is valued at $5,000, and is renewable for one year provided you maintain a 75% average in 2022‐2023 and continue to meet the eligibility criteria.

The deadline to apply is Sunday, February 5th, 2023.
