#CBUstaycation Challenge – Take a picture of a sunset from the Cape Breton Highlands National Park

Cape Breton Island is known for its breath-taking views, since of course it is rated the number one island in North America and the third best island in the WORLD! The Cape Breton Highlands National Park is home to the famous Cabot Trail, full of picture ready shots. Whether you’re hiking the Skyline Trail catching the sunset, or walking along Ingonish Beach chasing the sunrise, you’ll be sure to get a great shot! With such beautiful views, you don’t even need a high quality camera to get a professional-looking photo, no filters required! Tips to capture the perfect sunset picture: – If you have an iPhone, when taking the picture tap on the sun to focus the camera and get a brighter shot, or if you’re looking to create a unique look, tap on the sky to focus the camera on the scenery rather than the sun. -Take a panoramic picture; capture the moment, from side to side. – Film a time-lapse. Start filming as soon as the sun is about to set and keep the camera steady until the sun has gone down. Showcase your photography skills and show us a sunset from the Cape Breton Highlands National Park! Be sure to use the hashtag #CBUStaycation and #ExploreCB, who knows, it may be featured on @VisitCapeBretonIsland ‘s Instagram.
