The Department of Biology in the School of Science and Technology at CBU invites applications for a full-time limited term position in Biology at the rank of Lab Instructor. The approximate duration of this term is eight (8) months.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the duties outlined in Article 25.1.2 in the Cape Breton University Faculty Association Collective Agreement. Topics of focus shall include but may not be limited to first year Cell and Molecular Biology I lab, second year Cell and Molecular Biology II, second year Human Anatomy labs, second year Human Physiology for Nursing labs, and third year Human Physiology labs for Biology majors. The courses for the 2021-2022 Academic year will be delivered on campus.
Candidates shall, as a minimum requirement, possess a B.Sc. in Biology. An M.Sc. in Biology is preferred. Applicants should have previous Lab Instructor experience at the post-secondary level as well as experience with online course delivery.
CBU teaches programs on campus, off campus in locations across and outside of Canada, and on-line. The university and its partners will therefore provide opportunities for faculty members to teach in different modes in different locations as part of their regular workload. While these opportunities may not be available equally for all faculty positions in all programs, a clear willingness to teach in different modes and locations will be noted as part of your application.
