Assistant Professor, Economic Geography & Comparative Development

Requirements

The Shannon School of Business at CBU invites applications for a 4-month full-time limited term position in Economic Geography & Comparative Development at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence July 2019.

The successful candidate will teach Economic Geography & Comparative Development courses in the MBA in Community Economic Development (MBA CED) degree program.

Applicants should have a relevant PhD. Experience teaching MBA courses and supervising research projects of MBA students is an asset. The School is seeking a collaborative individual with a track record of quality teaching and of inspiring students.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate potential and commitment with regard to teaching, research/creative/scholarly activities and service to Cape Breton University, community and profession.

Qualified candidates should send a letter of application quoting the reference number (EG1904), a complete dossier including a curriculum vitae, a statement of research and teaching interests, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and three current letters of reference (sent directly to CBU) to the Human Resources Department.
