Katie K. MacLeod teaches courses in Sociology, Anthropology, and Community Studies. She holds a BA (Hons) in Social Anthropology from Dalhousie University and a MA in Anthropology from Carleton University. She is currently completing her dissertation to receive her PhD in Anthropology from Dalhousie University. Her research examines the interplay between public memory and sociopolitical identity development, with her current SSHRC-funded project focusing on nationalist ideologies of language and identity in the Acadian community of Pomquet, Nova Scotia.
