Cheryl Bartlett, CM, is a Professor Emerita at Cape Breton University and Director of the Institute for Integrative Science & Health. She held the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Integrative Science from October 2002 until her retirement in December 2012; she was also Professor of Biology until retiring. Dr. Bartlett received her PhD from the University of Guelph. Her expertise in science is the nematode parasites of wild animals; her interests in Integrative Science reside within the co-learning journey of Aboriginal / Indigenous individuals and ways of knowing working together with mainstream / Western scientists and ways of knowing. In 2012, Dr. Bartlett was awarded the Order of Canada for her work within this co-learning journey.
