Lilla Roy is an Assistant Professor in the Nursing Department with a clinical background in mixed pediatric/adult emergency nursing. As a staff and travel nurse, she has worked in large trauma centers, as well as remote and rural hospitals across Canada including Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and the Northwest Territories. Alongside clinical work, she started her academic career at the University of British Columbia, after which she worked with Child Health Evaluative Sciences at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. She came to Cape Breton University in 2016, and through an ongoing balance of clinical practice, nursing education, and patient-centered research, she works to contribute to improving health and nursing care.
