Dr. Julia Rombough is a professor of gender history. She received her PhD in History from the University of Toronto and her BA (Hons.) and MA in History and Philosophy of Religion from Concordia University. Her research examines histories of institutionalization, bodily care, health, sensory experience, and urban experience in early modern Europe. Dr. Rombough is also a digital humanities scholar and collaborates on a number of international research projects that are using digital tools and GIS mapping to uncover new histories.
