Audrey Walsh

Associate Dean School of Nursing; Associate Professor

Dr. Audrey Walsh is the Associate Dean in the School of Nursing and an Associative Professor. Walsh has Bachelor of Nursing with a specialty in Out Post Nursing from Memorial University, NL, a Masters of Nursing and a PhD in Nursing from Dalhousie University, NS. Dr. Walsh has taught at Cape Breton University since 2004. Drawing on her areas of clinical expertise, she has developed and taught a variety of courses related to community/public health nursing, population health nursing, and family nursing. She has developed unique university nursing practice experiences to augment student’s knowledge related to child health and development. Mirroring her teaching, Walsh approaches research through a socio-environmental population health promotion lens emphasising the transactions between individual or collective health behaviours and the environment.
