Workplace Safety Training-Education Assistant/Course Developer

About the Job:

The Assistant/Course Developer will assist the Occupational Health and Safety Advisor and Human Resources Office improve awareness of workplace health and safety.  Duties will include:

• Utilize existing OH&S knowledge in order to perform in-depth research on current occupational health & safety trends and legislation
• Develop curriculum and lesson plans to be delivered on a variety of platforms
• Other duties, as required

Qualifications:

• Experience working with Moodle or another learning management system (LMS)
• Proven ability to work independently
• Strong writing ability-developing lesson plans and learning objectives considered an asset
• Proficiency using computer applications, including Sharepoint and Powerpoint
• Experience developing and presentations or training courses and exercises
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety
• Public speaking experience
