Work Study: Assistant Conference Organizer

Job Description:

The Work Study student will assist in the organization of the 2021 Science Atlantic Conference that CBU will be hosting this year in March. The conference will be held virtually due to the pandemic. The student will assist with online registration, abstract submission, and other tasks associated with organization of the online virtual reality conference.

Qualifications:

• Organized, understanding of biology, comfort with learning new computer programs.
• We will use Virbella software to run conference.
• It is very user friendly and we will have tech support from Science Atlantic and Virbella.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Track online registration.
• Help format abstracts for conference program.
• Help organize oral presentation and poster session.
• Trouble shoot throughout 2 day conference.
