Express Employment Professionals is a full-service staffing and recruiting firm and we’re searching for a Co-op Employment Specialist to join our team for either the Winter Co-op term in Dartmouth, NS. This is an ideal Co-op for students with an interest in small business, business development, marketing, human resources or entrepreneurship! A Co-op placement at Express is a rare opportunity to learn in an entrepreneurial, small business setting that has global resources where you help people in your community succeed every day! Over the last 3 years the we have placed Express associates on 3200 assignments and worked with over 375 Halifax area companies – come join us and make a difference in your community!

What will you do at Express?

• Build relationships with local business leaders to generate job orders through phone prospecting
• Leverage the Express database of companies and candidates to create opportunities
• Learn to manage email marketing campaigns to create business conversations
• Manage social/digital media platforms, scheduling and creating local promotions and content
• Create candidate conversations/relationships online via subscribed recruiting tools
• Learn to take on client account relationships during your term
• Help manage the recruitment cycle from candidate connection to placement
• Participate in daily and weekly team meetings where your opinion is valued

What are the requirements?

• You are currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus in business, commerce, entrepreneurship, marketing, business development, human resources or equivalent
• You are a Co-op student in your 3^rd or 4^th year
• Have interest in small business, entrepreneurship, business development and marketing
• Problem solving capabilities and a passion to learn in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills
• Ambitious, driven, self-motivated and persistent – undaunted by hard work
• Metrics/results-driven and goal oriented
• Competitive and hungry to succeed
