Camp Triumph provides a unique and unforgettable camp experience to children who have a parent
or sibling with a serious illness or disability. The “others”. Our kids, aged 7-16, get to have FUN, take
a break from their challenging lives, and have some much needed freedom from worry. Our
campers take part in a balanced program that includes, physical activity, healthy eating, creative

CAMP MANAGER
The Role Prior to Camp Sessions (Salary Range: $625-$750 per week)
These duties include, overseeing staff members (and participating) in their efforts to prepare the
facility and equipment before the camp season begins; assisting with events, new projects,
fundraising initiatives, the planning and organizing the camp programs; creating social media
content, and planning and running programming for visiting day and overnight groups. Camp
Manager assists in conducting staff training as well as managing the staff’s flow of work in
consultation with the Directors.
The Role During Camp Sessions
Take a lead role in supervising and overseeing staff to ensure all policies, rules, and procedures are
being followed. The Camp Manager fills in on tasks where extra help is needed, helps to meet the
needs of campers, problem solves common situations that may arise, and supports staff with
reminders and guidance to enable them to do their best work. They capture content for promotion
of the organization and may assist in tasks related to wider organizational/program development.

Here is the Role PRIOR to Camp Sessions for all Core Staf
Generally, these duties include, helping to prepare the facility and equipment before the camp
season begins; assisting with events, new projects, fundraising initiatives, the planning and
organizing the camp programs; creating social media content, undergoing training, and running
programming for visiting day and overnight groups. Core staff have the option to live on or offsite
during this time when campers are not present. Weekends are generally time off.

CORE CAMP COUNSELLOR
The Role DURING Camp Sessions (Salary range: $475-$575 per week)
Helping to lead activities and building relationships with the campers while looking after their
needs as a part of the core team of staff. Core counsellors live on site and are present throughout
camp helping to deliver all aspects of the camp program where needed. They supervise the
campers and make sure all policies and procedures are being upheld. Time off is given between
camp sessions and a four-day break between Sessions three and four.

PROGRAM ASSISTANT
The Role DURING Camp Sessions (Salary range: $525-$650 per week)
In addition to an increased role in the pre-planning of programs, Program Assistant will assist the
Program Coordinator in the planning, developing, implementing, and overseeing our creative,
diverse, and engaging programs. This includes daily activity sessions, scheduling, and camp-wide
activities. They help ensure that all activities are running smoothly and fit the goals of Camp
Triumph and adjusts accordingly if necessary. The Program Assistant lives on site and is present
throughout camp and fills the role of counsellor on top of programming duties. Time off is given
between camp sessions and a four-day break between Sessions three and four.

WATERFRONT COORDINATOR
The Role DURING Camp Sessions (Salary range: $525-$650 per week)
This person oversees all activity at the waterfront (beach on the Atlantic Ocean). They look after
the preparation for each kayaking session, lead facilitation of the kayaking program on the water,
run beach activities if conditions are adverse, look after the care and storing of kayaks and
equipment at day’s end, and assist in other tasks/activities as assigned as a part of the core staff.
They lead daily beach time supervision. Kayak instructor certification required but could be
obtained between being hired and prior to camp starting. The Waterfront Coordinator lives on site
and is present throughout camp and fills the role of counsellor on top of waterfront duties. Time
off is given between camp sessions and a four-day break between Sessions three and four.

FIRST AID COORDINATOR
The Role DURING Camp Sessions (Salary range: $500-$625 per week)
The First Aid Coordinator administers first aid to the campers when bumps, bruises, upset
stomachs occur and dispenses camper’s prescribed medication. These tasks are engaged in as
needed (i.e. when a need for first aid arrises) therefore they also fulfill the role of counsellor –
helping to run activities and supervise the campers. A full nursing, medical, or paramedic degree is
not required. Must have first aid training certification. The First Aid Coordinator lives on site and is
present throughout camp. Time off is given between camp sessions and a four-day break between
Sessions three and four.

FACILITY MANAGER
(Full time seasonal with possibility of becoming part time year round)
Position Purpose:
To help maintain Camp Triumph’s facility and its assets while aiding in its operation.
Description
The Facility Manager is responsible for maintaining the Camp Triumph facility in order to keep it at
top operating shape and to extend its longevity. They are responsible for basic maintenance,
refurbishment, upkeep, re-stocking, and cleaning where needed. This includes all buildings, camp
grounds, and equipment. They ensure the facility is staying in accordance with safety rules and
regulation. They inspect the facility for damage following weather events and coordinates the
appropriate fixes. The Facility Manager is counted on to secure the facility when not in active use
and open up the facility for rental group use.
Duties
• Coordinating with the Directors on facility maintenance decisions
• Conducting basic maintenance on grounds, buildings, equipment (skill dependant)
• Monitoring the performance of assets within the facility and coordinating repairs
• Supervising maintenance workers and making sure they have the access they need
• Inspecting equipment and keeping records
• Training/instructing employees on proper maintenance where needed
• Ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols
• Coordinating the arrival and departure of rental groups
