Church’s Valufoods is community-focused business in Marion Bridge.

The store is a modern day supermarket which carries a full range of goods. We are an NSLC authorized agent selling beer, wine and spirits and offer everything from Esso gasoline to a variety of grocery items along with a first class meat department.

Job title:                                         Grocery Store Clerk

Salary:                                            $13.35 per hour (Negotiable based on experience)

Hours:                                             Full Time – 35 plus

Location:                                        Marion Bridge, NS

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Greet customers in a friendly and timely manner / answer customer’s questions
• Price merchandise as specified in weekly ads
• Receive and process payments by cash, credit card or debit
• Calculate total payments received and balance cash at the end of each shift
• Wrap or place merchandise in bags
• Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
• Stock shelves and clean and sanitize check-out counter area

  Qualification:

• Capable of standing for long periods of times
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
• Must be 19yrs + as they are an authorized NSLC agent
