Summer Employment – Food Production Operatives – Tony’s Meats Ltd. – Antigonish, Nova Scotia

Now Hiring Students for Part time work with the possibility of Full Time Summer Employment!!

• Part-time hours: 8-29 hrs per week

Available Shifts:

• 6:00 am to 10:00 am
• 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
• 12:00 noon to 4:00
• 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm
• 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
• 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Established in 1963, Tony’s Meats Ltd. is a privately owned federally registered company which produces and distributes an extensive selection of high quality raw and fully cooked further processed meat products under the Tony’s Meats TM and Mr. Donair TM brands as well as many private label brands at both food service and retail establishments across Canada.

We ask that applicants have the following qualifications:

• Highly motivated
• Good dexterity
• Attention to detail
• Physically fit and able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Comfortable to work with changing work activities and schedules
• Be able to work in a refrigerated and fast-paced environment.
• Previous food handling or food processing experience is an asset.

Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: * Package prepared products onto trays/boxes/bags.

• Follow all Health and Safety requirements and rules
• Learn and follow all GMP and food handling procedures (e.g., hand washing, glove changes, product storage) Food handling experience an asset but not required.
• Help disassemble equipment and production lines for sanitation
• Learn all the required sanitation activities for the area
