Summary of Responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:  

 

• Follow company policies, procedures and service standards. 
• Always have a pleasant and positive professional image.  
• Knowledge of beverage items and preparation methods, including features, in order to assist guests with their selections and to promote these items.
 
• Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for wait staff and patrons as requested, paying attention to detail. 
• Ability to work with speed and dexterity, ability to multitask. 
• Organizing the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory. 
• Cleaning the bar and work areas to maintain a sanitary environment.
 
• Keeping a well-stocked bar with adequate bar inventory and supplies. 

• Enhance revenue flow through suggestive selling techniques.
 
• Maintain accurate guest checks, handle cash float, make accurate deposits, balance credit card and cash sales at the end of every shift.
 
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in Health and Safety initiatives. 
• Always maintain a cooperative and positive attitude towards the guests and fellow team members. 
• Keep recyclables organized and sorted. 
• Ability to take direction.
 
• Complete opening and closing duties.
 
• Perform additional duties as required such as answering the phone, take-out orders and assist with hosting/greeting guests. 

 

 

Qualifications: 

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience bartending. 
• Must have sincere desire to exceed guest expectations. 
• Pro Serve Certification. 
• The ability to work well under pressure, high energy and self- motivated. 

 

 Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):  

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift 
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20lbs 
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting 

• Occasional ascending or descending stairs. 

 

Visa Requirements: Candidates must hold the proper work authorization to legally work in Canada.
