The Canadian Coast Guard College (CCGC) is a world leader in the field of maritime studies and the national training centre for the Canadian Coast Guard. A key program is the Canadian Coast Guard Officer Training Program. This is a four-year training program and is considered one of the best marine training programs in the world, producing both Marine Engineering Officers and Marine Navigation Officers. Hospitality Intern |
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with an interest in recruitment, social media marketing and event coordination. The successful applicant will work with our recruitment team in developing and coordination of recruitment events and promotional material. This will be a unique opportunity to enhance marketing skills and to also develop an understanding and build experience working within the public sector. |
Duties |
· Assist in the planning and coordination of recruitment events(i.e Canadian Coast Guard College Open House).
· Work closely with the Social media Outreach officer to create content for the College website and national Coast Guard newsletter. · Assist with the preparation of promotional material and recruitment presentations. · Assist in the development of marketing opportunities using social media channels. · Respond to inquiries from potential applicants. · Prepare and compile reports and statistical information relating to various recruitment events. |

Qualifications |
Essential Qualifications:
Students must be enrolled in a Co-op program. Experience: Experience using MS Word, Excel and Power Point Knowledge: Knowledge of the Canadian Coast Guard College Knowledge marketing, promotion and event planning Abilities: Ability to communicate verbally Ability to communicate in writing (cover letter will be used to assess this qualification) Personal Suit abilities: Judgement Initiative Teamwork
