Position: Laundry Attendant Co-op from May to October 2022
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Embrace all hotel standards and its Vision, Mission, and Values.
· Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests.
· Help create a positive work environment through teamwork and cooperation with peers and leaders.
· Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner.
· Weigh laundry loads.
· Program, load and unload washers and dryers.
· Fold, sort, and deliver clean linens.
· General care of equipment.
· Report any malfunctioning equipment or unsafe conditions.
· Use and maintain cleaning products, materials, and equipment safely and correctly.
· Assist with linen inventory and record processed linens.
· Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High level of attention to detail and energy
· Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
· Proven positive interaction skills
· Must be capable of handling a physically demanding workload, including but not limited to, lifting 25-50 lbs. at one time, pushing carts, standing for long periods of time, bending, stretching, and enduring repetitive movements involving arms, shoulders, back, and wrists.
· Must be willing and able to work various shifts including evenings and overnights
· Class 5 driver’s license an asset
