Summer 2021 BHTM Internship – Line Cook/Prep Cook/Dishwasher – Morrison’s Restaurant – Cape North, NS

Line/Prep cook. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be punctual, reliable and flexible in regard to shift work. Experience an asset but not necessary.

30 – 45 hours a week

Job Types: Full-time Seasonal

Experience:

  • Culinary: 1 year (Preferred)
  • cooking: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Food handlers course, WHIMIS, first aid and experience are assets but we are also willing to train.

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Safe, Safe Check, Food Handler or equivalent (Preferred)

Job Duties:

  • Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

Additional Duties:

  • Recording food temperature
