About the Opportunity

A Training Coordinator manages the training department, which includes developing the training policies of the company, training schedules, and ensuring employees receive the necessary training to complete their jobs in the most efficient and lean way possible.  The mission is to serve the company’s employees in a lean, scalable and measurable way.

As Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for all things training, including assessing training needs, designing effective training modules, and implementing programs to take employees closer to their goals. The training Coordinator should be analytical and highly energetic. They should also be flexible, and have strong strategic planning skills.  This is a relatively new position, so the candidate should be strong in creating standards and structure that align with our values.

Essential Requirements

To ensure success, the Training coordinator should understand the business operation and decision-making processes with a keen interest in producing targeted and tangible results by creating an effective and efficient workforce. Top candidates will be innovative, strong decision-makers and outstanding facilitators of learning and change.

  • Strong Communication Skills –  A clear communicator has the ability to explain difficult concepts in simple terms.  This requires excellent written, verbal and interpersonal style.
  • Ability to Assess Training Needs –  Be constantly be on the lookout for existing gaps in the business and think of ways to bridge them. Training needs can range from industry knowledge to on-the-job, practical training and soft-skills training.
  •  Strategic and Creative Thinker – For people to listen and absorb what you have to say, you need to get creative and embrace innovative methods.
  • Active Listener – Be a patient listener to create a conducive environment and make employees feel comfortable.
  • Passion to Learn- remain relevant and keep yourself updated with the latest happenings in your domain or industry.  You are familiar with traditional and modern training processes.
  • Proficient  in MS Office and related business and communication tools.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant program, such as commerce, business administration, personnel management, industrial relations, human resources, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in training and development management (essential).
  • Superb track record in developing and executing successful training programs.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating all training initiatives company wide. This includes, but is not limited to, departmental procedures, labour policy, health and safety initiatives, and leadership programs.
  • Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with managers
  • Manage the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training
  • Coordinating cyclic training schedules for all employees
  • Coordinating appropriate training activities for new recruits and current employees
  • Drive brand values and philosophy through all training and development activities

Besides a total compensation package that ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 you will also enjoy the following benefits
