The opportunity:
Orenda is currently looking for two full-time highly skilled Software Developers to work out of our Membertou office.
Job Description:
· Extensive experience in development using the Python web framework such as Django or Flask
· Extensive experience in Java development
· Experience in development using Typescript with NodeJS
· Experience in programming and systems development and design
· Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
· Strong proficiency in Python/SQL, Pandas and Numpy library
· Comfort in collaborative development using source code control (git)
· Experience with GCP preferred
· Experience with Big Data Platform like Spark is an asset
· Experience with Pub/Sub or MQ (Message Queue) is an asset
Requirements & Duties:
· Supporting the planning and development of the data sharing platform.
· Programming new and existing data systems
· Support and enhance our extensive API system
· Ongoing updates and enhancements to current services
· Collaborating within a small team
Relationships and Communication:
· Contribute to the strategic planning and management of long-term research and development projects that create value for Orenda, our clients, partners, and investors
· Collaborate with research and software development team to determine best practices for data collection methodology, research design, and analysis
· To document results in written reports
