The African Canadian Services Branch (ACSB) located within the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is dedicated to collaborating across the Department to build a Nova Scotian educational system that is equitable, culturally responsive and a safe learning environment for African Nova Scotian/African Canadian learners. The ACSB is dedicated to advancing the holistic development, well-being and academic achievement of African Nova Scotian/African Canadian learners.
Nova Scotia has made a commitment to Inclusive Education through the provision of a high-quality, culturally, and linguistically responsive, and equitable public education. The Manager, Partnerships & Post-Secondary Education which supports and liaises directly with African Nova Scotian communities possesses an informed perspective on issues impacting African Canadian education.
In this pivotal role, you are part of a team within the African Canadian Services Branch that works collaboratively across the department and with staff in Regional Centres for Education and the conseil scolaire acadien provincial, as well as provincial departments to ensure African Nova Scotian/African Canadian learners are given the opportunity and resources to experience academic and cultural excellence by developing comprehensive service delivery models which enhance the well being of African Nova Scotia/African Canadian learners within the public school system.
We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.
