Title: Collections Assistant
Responsibilities:
The Collections Assistant will be responsible for cataloguing, accessioning, and photographing a portion (approximately 400-500) of artifacts awaiting processing. The Collections Assistant will complete all object documentation, apply accession numbers, and create new records on the Collective Access database. The Collections Assistant will house the artifacts to ensure maximum efficiency in artifact storage and assign new permanent locations in the online database. Working directly with the Curator, the Collections Assistant will be trained in collections management, data entry, and pertinent museum administration skills.
The pay for this position will be $15.50 per hour.

Physical requirements include standing, walking, crouching, moving around for extended periods of time, exposure to dust, lifting artifacts (no greater than 10 kgs), and the use of common cleaning fluids and ink.

Salary Range: $15.50/ hour for a 35-hour week plus 4% vacation pay
Period of Employment: 20 weeks
