CGC Inc. is actively recruiting an Administrative Supervisor for our gypsum plant located in Little Narrows, Nova Scotia.

Description:

The Administrative Supervisor position is a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their organizational, administrative and leadership skills within fast-paced mining environment. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful candidate will lead a small team responsible for administrative activities and business support for a mine growing to approximately 90 employees.

It’s a full onsite role (no hybrid/ remote work) is considered. The candidate will mainly work Monday to Friday from 7:00am till 3:00pm.

This position is designed to provide the necessary level of local administrative support within the facility following the recent implementation of shared service organizations for finance, accounting, human resources, safety and production planning. The Administrative Supervisor’s team will grow as the plant grows with hiring new employees. The administrative team will perform a wide variety of administrative duties related to the above-referenced functions.

This challenging position offers a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits package, and the potential for a quarterly bonus. The base salary is dependent upon education and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Previous 5-10 years’ experience ideally in accounting and/or office supervision, aware of all the Canadian overall policies.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment.
  • Must demonstrate proven success at working both independently and in teams with a sense of urgency and high level of customer focus.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Proficient with MS Office Suite. Oracle experience is a definite asset.

Additional information:

Salary range: $65,000 – $75,000/ per annum, based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
