Account Manager – Large Format – Cape Breton, Nova Scotia
Cape Breton Beverages Limited is a third-generation, family-owned Pepsi bottling franchise. The company has been operating in Cape Breton for over 40-years, and together with its sister company Trans-Atlantic Preforms Limited employs over 100-people in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. We locally produce Pepsi, 7-Up, Schweppes, and Crush soft-drink products and distribute other beverages including Aquafina, Montellier, Bubly and Evian waters, along with Gatorade, Dole, Lipton, Starbucks, Guru, and Rockstar beverages to Cape Breton Island, as well as produce specific packages of Pepsi and other-branded soft-drinks for the rest of Atlantic Canada, Quebec, and Ontario. The Role:
The Key Account Manager – Large Format’s main priorities are selling and building Cape Breton Beverages’ strategy and programs to local large format national accounts.
What you’ll be working on:
- Managing orders and inventory to ensure that revenue and profit goals are achieved, and merchandising standards are maintained at each store.
- Selling and executing national and local promotions, soliciting placement of incremental marketing equipment, displays, racks and selling product inventory.
- Merchandising product sections and building displays.
- Utilizing point-of-sale materials to stimulate sales.
- Maintaining and increasing shelf facings and racks; cleaning shelving and racks; and rotating products.
- Evaluating customer business needs and analyzing market trends to develop service solutions.
- Ensuring a high level of customer service and resolving issues promptly.
- Eliminating out-of-stocks and out-of-date product through effective order taking.
- Implementing programs with local store managers.
- Providing feedback to Sales leadership team on any relevant developments, opportunities and market/customer information.
- Completing required paperwork and processes in an accurate and timely manner.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 1-2 years of customer service experience.
- 1-2 years of direct selling experience.
- Food Service or Consumer Products experience preferred.
- Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and strong presentation skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to perform the physical aspects of the job involved in display building and merchandising our products, which include frequent lifting (up to 45 lbs.), bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and reaching over shoulder.
