PART TIME: Tutor, School of Nursing

School of Nursing 

 The School of Nursing (SON) at Cape Breton University is toward supporting nursing students success in Biology 2203, Human Anatomy. The primary objective of this initiative is provide foundational support for students progression from term one to term two.

We are currently seeking a student who can provide assistance with tutoring in Biology 2203. This student must have taken Biol 2203 and have received a minimum grade of B.

Duties:

• Meet with students in Biol 2203 and review material from the previous class.
• Determine specific student needs and provide support accordingly.
• Provide direction in areas in need of improvement (e.g., study skills, time management).

Qualifications:

• Enrolled as a student at Cape Breton University, preferably in a related field.
• Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize responsibilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem solving abilities and attention to details
• Time management skills.
• Knowledgeable about student success supports.
• Previous tutoring experience will be considered an asset.

Work hours:

5 hours per week for 12weeks.

Pay:

Payment is in keeping with the Student Employment Policy and Guidelines.

Eligibility:

Enrolled at Cape Breton University and obtained a minimum grade of B in Biol 2203.
