Part Time Security Positions – Black Belt Security – Sydney, NS

Provide security in various locations throughout Cape Breton for events such as hockey games, concerts, etc.  Positions available in Sydney, Glace Bay and North Sydney.  Previous experience is not required as on the job training will be provided. Security License will be obtained through employer. Employer will file an application for all new hires. Candidates must provide a Valid Class 5 Drivers License as well as an additional Valid NS ID in order for Security License application to be processed. Wages will be determined based on experience.

• Responsible for handling a crowd, and guide them to safety routes and exits, when needed
• If applicable, required to complete an incident report
• Patrol and monitor assigned areas
• Good judgement to identify the best course of action when faced with confrontational situations and having the ability to de-escalate

• Previous experience as a Security Guard not required, training will be provided
• Access to reliable transportation and flexibility and a willingness to travel within CBRM
• Able to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and dayshifts
• Willing to work additional hours as required by employer
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Must be 19 years of age or older
