Online Student Facilitator Job Opportunity

The Centre for Teaching and Learning is looking for a student to take on the part-time role of Online Student Facilitator (approximately 5 hours a week) with an expected start date of January 7th and the end date of April 8th.

Online Student Facilitators are assigned to teaching faculty who are teaching online for the winter semester. Online Student Facilitators are responsible for supporting faculty and students during online-live classes that use MS Teams.

This role might be for you if you are:

  • A current CBU student as of January 2022
  • A confident communicator (written and verbal)
  • An independent troubleshooter
  • Able to think on your feet
  • Calm, cool and collected in hectic situations
  • Knowledgeable in MS Teams

  • Create a short tutorial video (maximum length 3 minutes), using Screencast-o-Matic, QuickTime, or other screen-capture software, explaining and walking the viewer through the use or function of one key Microsoft Teams feature (eg. video meetings or Breakout Rooms)
  • Submit a copy of your winter class schedule
