Job Title: Demand Planner
Department: Supply Chain

Job Summary:
As a member of the Supply Chain team, the Demand Planner is responsible for owning the process of consolidating the North American demand plan for Irving Tissue at multiple levels; Customer, Item, Branch Plant & Regional level. The Demand planner role works closely with the corporate planning department to ensure supply meets demand by utilizing/analyzing customer data to support forecast accuracy metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
Gather & Analyze Data
- Gather data, analyze & provide insights from various department/tools including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Customer, Finance, and others
- Analyze and adjust demand plan based on statistical forecast, accuracy measures and other inputs
- Statistical analysis of the system generated forecast, weekly and monthly maintenance activities in the system.
- Publish weekly demand plan using Demantra software
- Work with key stakeholders to evaluate and improve process to better meet the needs of the business
- Monitor monthly/weekly bookings vs forecast and raise issues/concerns on demand variations
Coordinate with sales to understand the demand forecast drivers including any promotional plans
Maintenance of Forecast data
- Maintenance of forecast data which include adding new items, removing old items, keeping history clean for statistical forecast purposes, and maintaining regional and branch plant splits
Reporting & Communicating
- Responsible for publishing various daily, weekly & period end reports for publication to the business
- Close relationship with Supply Planning, Deployment, Sales, Marketing, PLC, CRM, Customer Service, & Finance
Prepare and lead weekly demand review/ consensus meetings with Sales Account Managers
Other tasks
- Comply with ICP safety policies & procedures, personal conduct, and housekeeping
- Work with key stakeholders to evaluate and improve process to better meet the needs of the business
- Support Supply Chain cost savings initiatives
- All other duties assigned
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Commerce Degree or related field preferred.
Experience:
2 years of experience in similar job, or other suitable combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience working in Supply Chain is considered an asset
Statistical data experience is considered an asset
