FINANCE & ACCOUNTING CO-OP

This Finance & Accounting Co-op student position at our Head office in Saint John is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure in the accounting field with a large and diversified company. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our talented Accounting & Finance team and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

 Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Business Administration degree program
    • A student in good standing and returning to school in Fall 2022.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and develop quickly.  No experience is required.
  • Are committed to building a career in accounting and committed to pursuing their CPA designation including completing all the relevant pre-requisites.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel) is required
  • High energy, motivated individual
  • Team player; must be able to collaborate and work with others in a respectful manner
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excel at producing highly detailed, quality work
  • Are self-motivated; works well independently without minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage several files at the same time

What You Can Expect During Your Work Term:

  • Assist with year-end coordination and activities
  • Perform payables transactions and various reconciliations
  • Perform various compliance audits
  • Complete work term project
  • Complete recommended training
