Accountabilities:
As the Fuels Finance Co-op Student, you will be responsible for:
• Assisting with the month end financial close process by assembling data and preparing journal entries;
• Preparing Balance Sheet and Income Statement account reconciliations;
• Working with the front-office group to reconcile transactions relating to natural gas and power;
• Assisting with the processing of payments to counterparties for fuel purchases;
• Generating invoices for purchases of generation from Independent Power Producers;
• Preparing process documentation;
• Performing analysis on ad-hoc inquiries from other business units.
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers, by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
Skills, Capabilities and Experience:
• You must be working towards a Business degree and have completed the first two years of your degree.
• You must have a strong attention to detail, can work independently, and be a decision-maker. You must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and have strong Excel experience.
