The Data Management team at Loblaw is seeking a Data Analyst Co-op who will assist in modernizing our business processes and data infrastructure by moving to cloud technologies. In doing this, we can unlock the value of our data and drive richer insights to our business partners. This is the perfect opportunity to gather hands on experience that will prove useful throughout your career.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in the extraction and analysis of information from a variety of databases & reporting using SQL and/or Python
  • Documentation of data flows as required to improve understanding of source to target data movement
  • Develop communications and presentations to support deliverables
  • Actively participate in team and stakeholder meetings

What You’ll Need

  • A Team player and self-starter with the ability to take initiative, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have good communication, presentation, written and multi-tasking skills
  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong MS Office skills with Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as exposure to communication tools like OneNote, Teams and SharePoint
  • Experience or understanding of open-source software frameworks (Hadoop) and databases (SQL and/or VBA)
  • Enthusiasm to learn new skills and the drive to ensure successful delivery of commitments
