This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a growing industry in Halifax.
Core responsibilities:
• Operate and oversee reconciliation technology to provide a Gross NAV to all clients including
cash, position, dividend and interest reconciliations.
• Ensure trade processing is complete, corporate actions have been booked correctly, security
definitions and pricing is accurate. Take other necessary actions to ensure client portfolio is
constructed when required
• Oversee any PL anomalies, identify the reasons and solve the problems
Review pricing of portfolios with multiple asset classes, for exchange traded and OTC
Securities
• Respond to client queries
• Manage the new client onboarding processes, make sure the intake process is completed with
the highest available standards
• Ensure SLAs are strictly followed, proactively escalate any potential problems
• Work with custodians and other third-parties on an ongoing basis and provide feedback to
management
• Communicate any operational issues and arise to Associate Director
• Maintain a good relationship with client contacts and respond client queries
• Take the responsibility of being the point of operations contact for the allocated funds
• Oversight of reconciliation and data transmission technology
• Strictly follow MUFG standards, procedures and controls while performing the job
Key Requirements:
• A co-op university student, in good academic standing, currently pursuing an accounting,
finance or economic major
• Demonstrate an ability to multi-task, exercise initiative and work effectively within a team
environment
• Possess strong PC-based experience, data management, and administrative support skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate a diligent and methodical approach to tasks.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
Compensation
This role earns an hourly wage of $18.00CAD, working 37.5 hours per week. This is a 16 week co-op
position.
Start Date – January 6, 2025
End Date – April 25, 2025
