We currently have an exciting opportunity within our operations for a Chemical Engineering Co-op student position in Chipman.

 Qualifications:

• Education Required:
  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
  • In good academic standing and returning to school in Fall 2022
• No experience is required.
• High energy, motivated, and willing to learn
• Ability to work in a team
• Attention to detail
• Very good communication and organization skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities

What You Can Expect from Your Work Term:

• The roles and responsibilities will center around three positions at the manufacturing sites within the maintenance departments: Planning/Scheduling, Reliability Engineering & Direct Supervision
• Individuals will make effective use of the installed CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) for generating and tracking work orders and procurement of any required materials and services
• Responsibilities may include participating in RCFA (root cause failure analysis) teams and developing triggers for investigations. Students will be exposed to process information systems and a six-sigma approach to problem solving
• Depending on the site, students may be exposed to directing crews, and supervision of lubrication and vibration data collection technicians
• All positions will rely on the candidate assisting in eliminating barriers to getting tasks completed and improving equipment availability
