Supply Chain Process Analyst Student
(12 months) |
A team of 4 Analysts and 1 Team Lead who work together on both operational tasks as well as various continuous process improvement projects. The team supports Canadian Tire’s in-stock position by having suppliers ship on-time, in full, and damage free through managing a compliance program. This team measures, and executes fines, manages disputes resulting from fines by investigating and recommending solutions.
What you’ll do:
Working with internal stakeholders, our third party logistics provider, as well as with Vendor representatives located Domestic/Internationally, the candidate will:
- Investigate fine disputes
- Look for proof and documentation to support the presented facts
- Make recommendations/sound decisions while managing conflicting priorities and ambiguous situations
- Manage & maintain an unbiased and fair ruling at all times
- Encourage & influence vendor behaviour to meet CT’s supply chain guidelines
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify vendor performance opportunities, develop a roadmap to educate, support and track the success of the improvement recommendations
- Support daily/weekly/monthly operational tasks
- Manage one or more tasks/projects, which may include determining requirements as well as design/build analytical tool(s) to support new and/or existing processes

Maintenance Student
(4 months & 12 months) |
Maintenance Team is a fast-paced dynamic group that deals with all levels of internal customers in the DC. We are dedicated and focused but enjoy making positive changes to support the business. Looking for individual who can work in a fast pace environment and ensure accuracy is maintain while being able to support the maintenance team and operation team.
What you’ll do:
- Support the Maintenance department with key initiatives in order to increase efficiency
- right from the starting point to full operations.
- Support and Supply Chain Maintenance Center of Excellence project.
- Provide Technical and organizational strength to the Maintenance Storeroom optimization
- Coordinate, Retain, Support and investigate all maintenance-related documentation for all building and MHE systems.
- Update Drawings, Safe and Standard Operating Procedures, Reliable Methods and
- other pertinent information for the department.
- Verify and Update CMMS (Maximo) records, job plans, PMs and other applications to ensure all Maintenance Work and Purchasing is being tracked.
- Support Maintenance Staff in day-to-day activities.
- Take lead in a variety of Maintenance Projects to support department and distribution center
- Provide Engineering insight when required to Maintenance Personnel.

Process Analyst Student
(4 months) |
Regional Operations is the sustaining business owner and the liaison between CTC and the Third Party Logistics (3PL) facility operators, and is responsible for working with the 3PL to ensure operational effectiveness in the 3PL DCs. The Co-op Student will assist the Regional Operations Team in supporting the 3PLs in physical and process improvements to help them meet and exceed service level and budget targets.
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with internal cross-functional groups and 3PL partners to resolve immediate or upcoming issues and target process improvement, including increased productivity
- Critically assess internal and external processes in terms of impacts, cost and benefit, financial implications, risk, cross-functional dependencies and critical success factors
- The incumbent will be expected to analyze, explain results, and investigate trends in order provide insight to our business partners, management team, on strategic projects or in other analytical areas.
- Support strategic decision-making by identifying additional opportunities – determine business processes improvement initiatives and decision making (e.g. DC operations, Transportation effectiveness, Planning processes); and documenting potential benefits
- Conduct process mapping and business analysis
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis

What you’ve done:
- Student pursuing a University degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business or related field
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be a proactive self-starter and team player; able to work with little supervision
- Good business acumen
- Customer service oriented, focus on achieving team objectives and customer satisfaction
- Strong Technical skills including working knowledge of Access, Excel and Word
- Ability to work with extremely detailed information; attention to detail is a must
- Assets:
- Knowledge or previous experience in Distribution Centre operations, material handling systems and equipment
- VBA, Visio & Autocad
- Valid Drivers license and safe driving record
