In Room Dining Server
Role Summary
Reporting to the Food and Beverage leadership team, this position is responsible for receiving,
preparing and delivering in room dining orders to guests in their guest rooms.
Accountabilities
• Receive order from at your service phone operators using the point of sale system
• Communicate with the culinary team to pick up the order and prepare the in room dining cart
• Prepare the cart with hot and cold food items, condiments, and all necessary cutlery,
following pre-established standards
• Deliver the food to the guest room efficiently in order to meet time frames
• Enter the guest room and set the table for the meal, assist with preparing sides and
mirroring a restaurant experience within the room
• Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any
other item that is part of the standard place setting
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
• Assist servers as necessary by clearing tables, refreshing water and bringing out food to
guests
• Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact and a friendly verbal
greeting using the guests’ names when possible
• Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working
environment with active participation in the health and safety program
• Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Work experience in food and beverage industry an asset
• Previous customer service experience
Working Conditions
• Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25
pounds without assistance
• Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling
• Move over sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces
