Position Overview
As Pro Shop Associate, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Pro Shop while ensuring that our guests enjoy their experience. You greet our guests as soon as they walk through the door and create that authentic personal connection that lets them know how special they are. You work exceptionally well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced, multi-faceted operation. With a focus on servicing others, you take pride in service excellence and infuse enthusiasm in everything you do.
Core Competencies
Be knowledgeable of Pro Shop merchandise.
Sell merchandise and provide suggestions to guests as appropriate to meet their needs.
Assist guests with special merchandise orders.
Schedule tee times and handle customer inquiries and/or complaints.
Collect money or process credit cards, record sales transactions and issue receipts for all merchandise sales, green fees and club rental fees.
Answer the phone in a timely and professional manner and record phone messages for guests who may be on the golf course.
Transport merchandise from stock room to sales floor.
Assist guests with information regarding tournaments, special events, activities, policies, etc.
Assist guests with information on resort amenities and directions.
Assist in packing and/or unpacking inventory, pricing, arranging and displaying golf shop merchandise.
Assist with inventory at month end in accordance with inventory procedures.
Ensure the Pro Shop is maintained as per Cabot’s cleanliness and appearance standards. Maintain clean, presentable, and full stocked merchandise displays.
Qualifications
High school diploma.
Physical Demands
Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, reaching.
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects.
