House Person

 

Department: Housekeeping                                                            Position: House Person

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the transportation of clean and dirty linens between the departments requiring them, ensuring room attendants have all necessary items to complete duties and the cleaning of designated public areas.

General Job Description

•  Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service- oriented manner in accordance with hotel standards
• Cleaning of all public washrooms and dusting/vacuuming designated public areas
• Ensure prompt delivery of clean linens to room attendants, pool, and spa
• Remove and deliver soiled linens to laundry
• Remove and dispose of garbage
• Delivering of housekeeping items to rooms when requested by guests
• Proper use of Golf Cart as per property standards
• Stock room attendant’s closets with amenities when required
• Keeping an eye on inventory needs especially guest supplies
• Stocking cottages with firewood
• Cleaning cottage fireplaces
• Heavy Lifting- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force, constantly lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects and linen
• Other duties as assigned
• Comply all times with property standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
• Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License required

 

Schedule

• 8 Hour shift
• 5 days per week
• Schedule varies
• Weekends required
