Dining Room Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: Dining Room

REPORTS TO: General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Liscombe Lodge Resort & Conference Centre is a beautiful resort located in Liscomb on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia. The Dining Room Supervisor would have the pleasure of managing the Riverside Dining Room overlooking the Liscomb River that can accommodate up to 120 guests.

ACCOUNTABILITIES: This role is responsible over-seeing the day to day operations of the Riverside Dining Room and all dining room employees. You will report directly to the General Manager.

DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

· Monitor every form of service that is being rendered to customers within the dining room

· Attend to and address all customer issues and maintain their satisfaction during their dining experience

· Ensure that all wait staff are following service standards; serving our guests in a timely and professional manner at all times

· Maintain a seating plan for guest and serving areas for all staff

· Greet and usher guests to their tables

· Oversee inventory of dining room requirements including the bar area

· Manage dining room staff including scheduling, conflicts and attendance

· Maintain the dining room to a high level of cleanliness at all times

· Liaison with Executive Chef to ensure cohesive managing between Kitchen and Dining Room

· Excellent Communication Skills as well attention to details

· Great interpersonal skills and abilities

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· An impressive level of leadership skill and/or qualities

· The ability to not only lead a team but work well as part of a team

· An understanding the rudimentary of customer service and efficient delivery of that service

· Maintain the Restaurant Management software

· Administrative duties including reports for General Manager, end of shift auditing, daily reporting on sales, staffing, etc. and any other reports as required by General Manager

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

· Variable temperature conditions and noise levels indoors

· Must be able to move quickly and agilely if a situation requiring quick assistance arises

· Ability to stand for long periods of time

All employees are to be constantly on the alert for any unsafe or unsecured areas which may threaten the wellbeing of guests or fellow employees or the maintenance and security of the hotel property and react accordingly. All concerns must be reported to your immediate supervisor.
