Position Overview

You will have the pleasure of being the first – in person – smiling face that greets our guests when they arrive at the resort. You are a vital member of the team responsible for Cabot Cape Breton’s world class first impression. Our guests know they are special when you greet them by name and offer personalized information on services and amenities available. Executional Excellence

  • Oversee the operation of the Bell Staff team, including managing arrivals, departures, and guest needs.
  • Greet guests upon arrival to the resort in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Assist guests with their luggage and escort them to their room upon completion of check-in with front desk.
  • Provide information on room features, resort facilities and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure the arrivals area is always clean and safe.
  • Knowledgeable about daily resort activities, group, and VIP arrivals.
  • Oversee on the job training for all new Bell Staff.
  • Coach and provide forward moving feedback to team members.
  • Provide elite anticipatory guest service and uphold satisfaction by dealing with concerns in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Guest Service Supervisor in preparing weekly team schedule to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Provide valet as required, including opening car doors and parking guest vehicles.
  • Store and retrieve luggage, golf clubs, and other objects for guests as needed.
  • Communicate special guest requests to the Manager, Front Desk.
  • Offer guest assistance with:
    • Providing directions and escorting whenever possible.
    • Transportation requests.
    • Bike rentals.
  • Deliver items to guest rooms as instructed.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Ability to drive automatic and standard transmission vehicles is an asset.
  • Class 4 driver’s license considered an asset.

 

Physical Demands

  • Work outdoors for several hours in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow and wind.
  • Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, reaching, or sweeping.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects.
