Essential Job Duties:

  • Clean and sanitize all assigned rooms, areas and corridors as per company and brand cleanliness standards listed in the Property Visitation Report
  • Respond professionally and courteously to all guest requests; utilize guest name where possible
  • Adhere to standards of appearance
  • Sign keys in and out and ensure storage and supply areas are clean, organized and locked at all times
  • Set up housekeeping cart; ensure all room supplies and amenities available in cart for start of shift
  • Remove soiled linen and make up guest beds
  • Clean, dust and polish all surfaces; vacuum and clean all floor surfaces
  • Replace towels and replenish guest room amenities and/or public area supplies
  • Clean walls, doors and inside windows as required
  • Check all room appliances to ensure they are present and in working order
  • Report any and all room deficiencies including smoking in or damage to guest room, malfunctioning equipment, furniture repairs, light bulb replacements etc. following the work order process
  • Advise Management of supplies and linen shortages
  • Report lost guest items to housekeeping manager
  • Update and complete housekeeping checklists as required
  • Follow all safe work practices in addition to safety and sanitation policies to maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work area at all times
  • Understand the emergency procedures for the housekeeping department and entire Hotel
  • Supports company, brand and industry environmental initiatives and programs through the use of environmentally friendly, sustainable products and best practices
  • Ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, push, pull, twist, reach, crouch, bend and stretch repeatedly throughout a shift and routinely perform physically demanding tasks

Qualifications

  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
  • Effective English communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous housekeeping experience is an asset; preferably in a hospitality setting

Associate Accommodation available

Room Occupancy: 2 Associates per room (twin sharing)

Rental Rate: $15.00 per Associate per day. ($210.00 bi-weekly)

There are 5 bedrooms per unit (One Male and One Female Unit) with share kitchen, common room, laundry, 2 bathrooms and 4 vanity sinks.  These Units are strictly for Associate only and no visitors allowed.
