WORK STUDY WINTER 2023: Assistant Video Editor

About the Job:

In this position you’ll work with the CBU Video production team to help create content for the university. Along the way, you’ll gain experience in rough and fine cut video editing, data management, and the video production process in a small team environment. Duties:

– Compiling raw footage into selects reels
-Rough and fine cut editing, including editing from scripts, A-roll -edits, and b-roll selection
-First pass audio editing and colour correction
-File ingest, organization, and logging
-Project creation, including sequence settings, audio channel mapping, asset ingest, slate creation, and more
-Video file transcoding and exporting

Qualifications:

Required* Beginner level knowledge of a major editing software (such as Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, AVID, or Other); Must have strong computer skills; Experience in video production considered an asset; Experience in multi-person video editing considered an asset; Experience in news and/or journalism considered an asset; Experience in data management considered an asset
