Mathematics Education Content Developer

Job Description

The Department of Math, Physics, and Geology is looking for a Mathematics Education Content Developer to aid in the construction of presentations and materials for a new educational non-profit. You will work under the supervision of Instructor Mr. Justin Makary, and will gain experience in content development, classroom management, and community outreach. The successful applicant will also have the possibility of growing with the organization and joining for K12 School visits in the upcoming academic year

Duties

Create interactive math workshops, create presentation slides, do research on mathematical concepts and educational approaches, perform test runs of workshops, construct learning materials.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge of local K12 Mathematics Education, Construction and deliverance of educational content and materials, Classroom management approaches, Expansive/advanced mathematics topics

Qualifications

  • Applicants should have the following qualifications:
  • BSc Student in Mathematical Sciences (Math, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, etc)
  • OR BEd Student with a major/minor teaching subject in Mathematics
  • Experience Teaching is an Asset.
